Terms & Conditions (“Terms”)
Royal T Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd.
These terms cover our work and your use of our website. By hiring us or using the site, you agree to them.
1) Who we are
Royal T Plumbing Heating & Gas Ltd. (“Royal T,” “we,” “us”).
Service area: Greater Vancouver, with priority to Vancouver, Burnaby, and New Westminster.

2) Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are based on the information we can see at the time. Hidden conditions can change scope and price.
 - Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for 30 days.
 - Prices are in CAD and subject to applicable taxes.
 - Service calls are billed at our current rates plus parts and materials. We tell you the price before work starts.
 
3) Deposits and payment
- Small repairs are due on completion.
 - Larger projects may require a deposit and progress payments tied to milestones.
 - We accept credit card and e-transfer. We may use a third-party processor.
 - Late balances may be charged interest at 2% per month, or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is lower.
 - We reserve the right to place a builders lien for unpaid work where the law allows.
 
4) Scheduling and access
- We schedule the earliest available date. Times are estimates.
 - You agree to provide clear access to work areas, water, power, parking, and elevator use if needed.
 - If we arrive and cannot work, a return visit charge may apply.
 
5) Permits and inspections
- We pull permits when required and attend inspections.
 - Permit and inspection fees are extra unless stated otherwise.
 
6) Your responsibilities
- Tell us about known issues like prior leaks, pest activity, asbestos, lead paint, or prior DIY work.
 - Remove personal items from the work area. Protect anything fragile.
 - Keep pets and children away from the work zone.
 
7) Materials and equipment
- Until paid in full, all materials we supply remain our property.
 - We may substitute equal or better parts if a model is back-ordered.
 - Customer-supplied fixtures must meet code and be on site before we start.
 
8) Unforeseen conditions
If we uncover rot, mold, asbestos, broken concrete, concealed valves, buried lines, or code violations, we will explain the options and cost changes. Work pauses until you approve a change order.
9) Hazardous materials
We do not remove asbestos, mold, or other hazardous material. If found, you must hire a licensed abatement contractor before we continue.
10) Warranties
- Workmanship: We warranty our labor for 1 year from completion unless stated otherwise in writing.
 - Manufacturer warranties: Parts and equipment carry the maker’s warranty. We help you register where applicable.
 - Misuse, lack of maintenance, freezing, power surges, third-party work, or acts beyond our control are not covered.
 - Drain cleaning warranties are limited. Drains can re-block due to roots, grease, scale, or structural defects.
 
11) Photos and documentation
We may take before-and-after photos for records, warranty, and training. With your permission, we may use de-identified photos for our portfolio. We never publish your address or personal details.
12) Cleanliness and disposal
We protect floors, tidy up, and haul away old fixtures and scrap unless you ask to keep them. Disposal fees may apply for large items.
13) Limits of liability
- We carry general liability and are licensed and insured in BC.
 - We are not responsible for incidental or consequential damages such as lost rent, lost business, or spoiled goods.
 - Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific work that caused the claim, unless the law requires more.
 
14) Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our control, such as extreme weather, strikes, supply shortages, utility outages, or emergencies.
15) Website use
- Site content is owned by Royal T. Do not copy or reuse without permission.
 - Links to third-party tools and widgets are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
 
16) Cancellations
- Please give 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule service calls.
 - Custom-ordered materials may be non-refundable once ordered.
 
17) Complaints and disputes
Most issues can be solved by talking. If a dispute remains, the laws of British Columbia apply and BC courts have jurisdiction. Consumer rights under BC law still apply.
18) Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on our website at the time of booking applies to your job.

We collect and use your information with your consent and to fulfill a contract with you. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. This will not affect past processing already done with your consent.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. 
8) Transfers and storage
Our systems and some third-party services may store data in Canada or other countries. Those countries may have different privacy laws. We use reputable providers and limit what we store.
9) How long we keep data
We keep customer records for as long as needed to serve you and for legal, accounting, or warranty reasons. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize the data.
10) Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, including account controls, limited access, and encryption where appropriate. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think your data has been exposed.
11) Your choices and rights

12) Children’s privacy
